Background

Photo of MaryI started doing research professionally in 2003, and have been researching my own family history for over 20 years.

All family historians run into brick walls. I've had success finding some of those puzzling missing family members in online indexes and other records.

I am experienced with:

  • Catholic Church records in the U.S. and Ireland. I have some knowledge of Spanish, Italian and Latin, and have also researched in French Canadian records.
  • Online records (census, birth, death, marriage; figuring out where other records are held)
  • Immigration (ship manifests, Ellis Island and Castle Garden, naturalizations)
  • Minnesota, Wisconsin, Illinois, Iowa, the Dakotas: vital records and other resources.
  • Contacting and visiting repositories for lookups of vital records, area and family histories and biographies.
  • Reviewing the research done by clients, to help them come up with other angles on how to get around brick walls.

If your needs and my experience are not a good fit, I will try to refer you to another researcher.
